The GR200R is not a scooter. It’s a sport motorcycle with a manual-style gearbox, clip-on handlebars, and a riding position that puts you forward over the front wheel. If you know how to ride a motorcycle and you want something that feels different from every automatic scooter on the road, this is it.
The 200cc engine has more torque than any 155cc scooter in the fleet. It pulls hard through the mid-range and sounds like a proper bike, not a sewing machine. Dual-channel ABS keeps things safe when Bangkok’s roads get wet. The suspension handles potholes and uneven surfaces better than most scooters in this price range.
This bike attracts a specific rider. You’ve ridden motorcycles before, you’re comfortable with a clutch (or in this case, GPX’s semi-automatic system), and you want the look and feel of a sport bike without the weight and cost of a 400cc machine.
In Bangkok traffic, the GR200R filters through gaps well despite being slightly wider than a scooter. Parking is fine. The main trade-off versus a scooter is zero under-seat storage and a less comfortable riding position over long distances.
At 450 THB per day, it’s priced the same as the Forza 300 but offers a completely different experience. The Forza is comfort and storage. The GR200R is style and engagement. No other rental shop in Bangkok stocks this bike.
