The GPX Drone is the most unusual scooter in our fleet. It’s a Thai brand, not Japanese, and it looks completely different from anything Honda or Yamaha makes. The design is angular and aggressive, closer to a European sports scooter than a typical Bangkok commuter bike.
Under the bodywork it’s a solid 150cc automatic with dual-channel ABS. The ride is sportier than a Click but more practical than a full sport bike. You sit slightly forward, the suspension is firm, and the throttle response is quick. In Bangkok traffic it feels nimble and fun.
Most tourists have never heard of GPX. That’s part of the appeal. If you don’t want to ride the same Honda Click that every other rental customer is on, the Drone stands out. It’s also a good conversation starter with Thai riders who recognize the brand.
At 400 THB per day, the Drone costs the same as an NMAX but offers a different riding experience. Less storage, less comfort for long rides, but more personality. No other rental shop in Bangkok offers this bike, so if the design catches your eye, this is the only place to try it.
For a more traditional 155cc scooter with better storage, check the Yamaha NMAX 155.
