How renting works here

RentLab is a scooter and motorbike rental service in Bangkok built for people who don’t want to deal with the usual rental shop experience. No cash deposits. No handing over your passport. No haggling over prices at a counter.

We started in August 2025 because renting a scooter in Bangkok was stuck in 2010. Most shops still operate on cash, paper contracts, and a business model that depends on holding your passport until you return the bike. We figured there had to be a better way.

You book on our website, verify your identity online through Veriff (takes about two minutes), and pick up the scooter from our garage at your scheduled time. No staff interaction required if you don’t want it. The keys, helmets, and phone holder are ready when you arrive.

Every rental comes with third-party insurance, two color-matched helmets, and WhatsApp support if anything comes up while you’re riding.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, PromptPay, bank transfer, and cash. Six payment methods because tourists shouldn’t have to hunt for an ATM before they can rent a bike. Full pricing is on our scooter rental prices page.

The Fleet
Our fleet has 13 scooters and motorbikes covering everything from a 110cc Honda Zoomer X at 190 THB per day to a Honda Forza 300 at 600 THB per day. The most popular bikes are the Honda Click 125 and the Yamaha Aerox 155. Both handle Bangkok traffic well and are easy to park in tight spots.

Every bike gets checked before each rental. Engine, brakes, tires, lights. If something isn't right, the bike doesn't go out. We'd rather have a scooter sit in the garage for a day than put a customer on something that isn't running properly.

Zero Deposit
Every other rental shop in Bangkok charges a cash deposit between 2,000 and 5,000 THB on top of the rental price. Some hold your passport.

At RentLab the total out-of-pocket cost for a week on a Click 125 is 1,200 THB. That's it. No deposit locked up, no passport sitting in someone's drawer, no surprise fees at the end.

We handle risk differently. Online identity verification through Veriff, digital contracts, and a booking system that tracks everything.
