The DZ3 is GPX’s newest sport scooter, and ours is a 2024 model with about 6,000 km on the clock. The 278cc liquid-cooled engine puts out 24 horsepower, more than enough for Bangkok traffic and fast enough to keep up on Rama 4 or the expressway on-ramps. Dual-channel ABS is standard, and this unit has TCS on top of it, so the rear wheel doesn’t break loose on wet tarmac the way it can on cheaper scooters.
At 161 kg it’s lighter than the Forza 300, which matters more than it sounds like in Bangkok. U-turns in tight sois are easier, and it’s less work to muscle around in a parking lot. The seat is firmer and more sport-oriented than the Forza’s plush bench, so if you’re doing long two-up days, the Forza is still the more comfortable pick. If you want something that feels quicker and more responsive through traffic, this is it.
GPX is a Thai brand, not Honda or Yamaha, and if that matters to you, it’s fair to weigh it. What you’re actually getting is a nearly new bike with a fraction of the mileage of most rental scooters in this city. Full LED lighting, a keyless IP67 waterproof ignition, USB-C fast charging, and a 10.3 liter tank round it out. No other rental shop in Bangkok stocks this bike.
At 650 THB per day, the DZ3 costs more than our Forza 300. You’re paying for the difference in condition: this DZ3 has around 6,000 km on it, the Forza has roughly 50,000. If mileage matters less to you than saving money, the Forza is still 600 THB per day and comfortable for long days. If you want the newer bike, this is it. Full pricing tiers are on our pricing page.
Rental area: Bangkok metropolitan area only. GPS monitored. Touring fleet (Honda Rebel 300cc and similar affordable touring bikes) launching this year for trips outside Bangkok.
